Take Me Away -- a poem.

To start things off, since I am excited to begin blogging but rather short on worthy ideas, here is a poem written at college last year.

TAKE ME AWAY

Take me away to the cold river there
Where golden green grasses drink the fresh air
Where rushes return the sweet water’s stare
Take me away to the cold river there

Carry me off on the river’s clear flow
That whispers “you’ve forgotten, but you’ll once again know
How the joy of life comes when you’re not scared to go”
Carry me off on the river’s clear flow

Plunge me into that frigid cold
That screams with more passion than my angriest poem
That screams “life is lived, not merely told!”
Plunge me into that frigid cold

Let me stand in wordless awe
